As discussed at our Feedback Forum early in 2010, we now have an opportunity for you to join STUFF and become a Member.

Membership costs just £5 for a year, and entitles you to:

Free attendance at any STUFF Forum (including a buffet and beverages). Saving you £7 if you attend all 12 Forums.
Preferential booking at any STUFF organised events.
The right to vote at our Annual Meeting.
Notification of any upcoming meetings, training, conferences etc.,
An opportunity to help STUFF influence mental health services

You can join at any Forum or pick up an application form at a Drop-in or from a Committee Member or our Membership Secretary.

We hope YOU decide to join us, and help STUFF continue to make a difference.

STUFF Monthly Forum

STUFF provide a Forum for all interested mental health service users.

WHERE? The Well Being Centre, Chestergate, Stockport, SK1 1LZ.

WHEN? On the second Monday of each month (excluding Bank Holidays) 7pm – 9pm.

WHAT DO WE DO? The Forums are a great way to meet other service users and to voice your own opinions. By standing together as a group, we have a voice that demands to be heard!

We often have guest speakers, such as a Pharmacist or a Debt Advice expert explaining their roles and answering questions about their subject.

We supply tea and coffee and a buffet at the end of the evening.

There is a £1 charge for attending a forum. Forums are Free to Members.

New service users are always very welcome.

Welcome to STUFF (Stockport User-Friendly Forum)

We are volunteer service-user led group for people who experience mental distresss and who have accessed mental health services. We have been making a difference for over 10 years.

We are here to represent your needs or be your voice. We do our best to influence the setting up and running of mental health services in Stockport.

We listen. Then we feedback your comments, complaints and any praise to managers and committees at all levels.

National guidelines insist on the views of service users being heard, and we continue to push for improvements in services and for more service user involvement.

We aim to give ongoing support to all service users, through training, open forum, discussion, research adn facilitation.

We work towards reducing the stigma and discrimination that people with mental distress are faced with.
